More than a week of camp
Royal Family KIDS Camp is a week-long experience created for children ages 7-11 who have experienced relational trauma. Camp gives kids the chance to have fun, try new things, build positive memories, and spend time with caring adults in a safe and encouraging environment.

What happens at camp?
Camp is filled with fun, creativity, adventure, and meaningful moments designed to help kids feel encouraged, celebrated, and connected.

Activities & Adventure
Games, outdoor activities, crafts, and new experiences give campers plenty of changes to explore, play, and try something new.

Celebrations
& Fun
Special events, traditions, music, themed activities, and memorable surprises help make the week feel exciting and joyful.

Connection & Encouragement
Campers spend the week surrounded by caring adults who encourage them, celebrate their strengths, and help them feel seen and valued.
What makes Royal Family KIDS different?
Royal Family KIDS Camp is designed around more than activities. The week is intentionally built to help children feel safe, known, encouraged, and celebrated. Campers are surrounded by caring adults who create consistent, positive experiences and help each child feel like they belong.
2:1 Camper-to-Counselor Ratio
Each counselor is assigned no more than two campers, while additional volunteers, more than doubling the number of campers, support activities, logistic, and camper needs throughout the week. This level of staffing allows children to receive a level of attention, supervision, and encouragement that isn’t possible in a typical camp setting.
Trauma-Informed & TBRI® Training
In the months leading up to camp, volunteers receive training in trauma informed care and Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), attachment-based, trauma-informed approach that helps adults connect with, empower, and respond effectively to children who have experienced relational trauma.
Two-Deep Supervision
Campers are never left alone with a single adult. At least two adults are present with campers at all times as an added layer of safety.
Intentional Programming
Camp isn’t a collection of random activities. Each day is carefully planned and scheduled, with activities, transitions, celebrations, and routines intentionally designed to support connection, predictability, confidence, and fun.
Every part of camp, from staffing to activities to supervision, is intentionally designed to create a safe, supportive, and joyful experience for children who have experienced trauma.
